Laurelhurst Community Center Needs Your Support
The Laurelhurst Community Center is a neighborhood hub and the very heart of Laurelhurst – the city is looking at options that could threaten the very heart of this neighborhood. Apparently due to budget shortfalls, there is a need for the city to go beyond the furlough days that already exist – they consider the services provided by the Laurelhurst Community Center to be an overlap in geographic area. As a result, the city is pondering closing it as a community center in the way that we know it now.
